Biography
Elizabeth “Liz” Hobbs is a Texas-based artist who works in painting and drawing. Despite being born in Monterey, California Ms. Hobbs grew up near the coast of Virginia in areas of Chesapeake and the Oceanfront, eventually migrating to San Marcos, Texas to pursue a higher education. Ms. Hobbs’ main influences include memories of the beach from her childhood from Virginia as well as Texas, and her heavy interests in organics. At Texas State University, Ms. Hobbs completed her BFA in painting in May of 2023. Previous exhibitions include the Spellerberg Gallery in Lockhart, Texas (2019) as well as other local galleries such as Mothership Studios in San Marcos, Texas (2023).
